Smart Nation Initiative - P4 Code For Fun

As part of a national initiative to make our pupils gear towards being a Smart Nation, Zhonghua had organised art a two years  coding enrichment programme for our P4 pupils starting this year.

Code for Fun Programme (collaboration by IDA and MOE) uses simple logical reasoning, animation and academic learning of related concepts (algorithms and logicalreasoning to solve problems by breaking them down in a fun way) through programming languages, such as Scratch and combining it with robotic kits. We aim to promote interest and develop talents in computing while pupils experience the importance of being creators, rather than just consumers of technology.

Singapore is building a Smart Nation by harnessing technology to the fullest with the aim of improving the lives of citizens, creating more opportunities, and building stronger communities.

With a conducive ecosystem that attracts industries and talents to join us on our journey, we can co-create a Smart Nation together. This also involves good governance, infrastructure, and boosting our capabilities.

A Smart Nation means people and businesses are empowered through increased access to data, more participatory through the contribution of innovative ideas and solutions, and a more anticipatory government that utilises technology to better serve citizens’ needs.
