The Department’s objective is to develop a passion for the Arts in every Zhonghuarian through an integrated and holistic aesthetics programme. Adopting the Thematic Approach, units of learning are designed based on broad themes, as defined below.

Aesthetics Highlights

ZARTs Fest

An annual aesthetics festival that is held over a week in Term 2/3. This week-long event showcases a myriad of aesthetics activities ranging from assembly performances to recess programmes for pupils to enjoy and take part in.

TAP

TAP, short for Talent Appreciation Programme aims to promote a vibrant aesthetics culture through visual and performing arts. Pupils are encouraged to showcase talents they might have, ranging from playing of instruments, dancing, singing, acting, poem recitations and even the unique talent of performing tricks with the yoyo.
